With so many games releasing all the time, it’s tough to keep up with all the latest news! Where do you all go to stay updated on new game releases, trailers, or even rumors about upcoming titles? Some people rely on big sites like IGN or Kotaku, but I've noticed there are a lot of smaller sites, forums, and YouTube channels that focus on niche games or indie titles.

Do you prefer checking gaming subreddits, following gaming YouTubers, or maybe joining Discord servers dedicated to your favorite games? Or maybe there’s a go-to app you use to get notifications? It’d be great to share some lesser-known places to find the latest news – especially for anyone looking for something beyond the mainstream. Let’s share tips!

Yeah, I totally get what you mean! It’s so easy to fall behind on all the game news, especially with how quickly things move these days. For me, Reddit is a lifesaver – I’m always scrolling through r/games and r/IndieDev to keep up with new titles and trailers. It’s nice because you get both mainstream stuff and indie gems that don’t always make it to the bigger sites. Plus, there’s always something fresh in the comments.

I also follow a couple of YouTubers, like Skill Up, who dive into game announcements, updates, and sometimes deep-dive into games that just dropped. And yeah, Discord servers are amazing for real-time info – especially for the smaller communities where people share leaks, rumors, and news before it even hits big sites. I don’t always trust the rumors, but it's fun to hear the hype!

I also have Google News set up with my favorite game studios or titles, so I get notifications straight to my phone. Pretty handy when I don’t have time to check everything manually.

One place I really enjoy for indie games is https://gamingedia.com/, it’s full of news straight from the developers, and it’s a great way to support indie creators.

I actually use Gamingedia myself, and it's been fantastic for staying updated with indie game news directly from the developers. It’s like a little corner of the internet dedicated to supporting creators who might not get as much spotlight on bigger sites. Having that direct line to devs is such a cool way to discover unique titles that could easily be missed otherwise. Plus, seeing their development journey in real-time makes you appreciate the games even more when they finally launch.
